I have used Welsh religious text in one of the heads to indicate the different histories and experiences of the two people. As a boy I used to listen to my grandfather who had very little English trying to converse with holidaymakers. Although the were standing a foot apart the gap between them in terms of culture and experience was unbridgeable.
